A two-day Workshop on Assessment Techniques and Effective Questioning Skills for school teachers was organized by IQAC, Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Education on 02nd and 03rd May 2025. The objective of the workshop is to equip teacher educators with practical knowledge and skills in diverse assessment techniques and the art of effective questioning to enhance classroom engagement and learner understanding. It provided participants’ understanding of formative and summative assessments, as well as strategies for designing valid and reliable evaluation tools. Emphasis was placed on developing higher-order questioning skills that promote critical thinking. The outcome of the workshop was that the participants were able to apply innovative assessment methods and use questioning effectively to support active learning and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
