
Inter Vidyalaya Olympiad
Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Education (Autonomous), Coimbatore, organised a series of Inter Vidyalaya Olympiads during the academic year 2025–2026 with the objective of enhancing analytical thinking, subject competence, and academic excellence among school students.
The Olympiads were conducted as Computer-Based Tests (CBT), ensuring standardized assessment and efficient evaluation. More than 1,000 students from various Vidyalaya schools actively participated in these examinations.
The Inter Vidyalaya Maths Olympiad was conducted from 02 December 2025 to 05 December 2025, focusing on logical reasoning and mathematical problem-solving skills.
The Inter Vidyalaya Science Olympiad was held from 28 January 2026 to 31 January 2026, assessing conceptual understanding and application of scientific principles.
The Inter Vidyalaya Social Science Olympiad took place from 10 February 2026 to 13 February 2026, aiming to strengthen students’ knowledge of history, geography, civics, and socio-economic concepts.
These Olympiads provided a competitive academic platform and significantly contributed to promoting digital assessment practices and interdisciplinary learning among students.
Inter Vidyalaya Olympiad Award Ceremony
Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Education, Coimbatore, successfully conducted the Award Ceremony of the Inter Vidyalaya Olympiads – 2026 (Mathematics, Science & Social Science) on Monday, 23rd February 2026, at 10.00 a.m. in the GKD Auditorium.
The programme commenced with a prayer by Sri R. Amarnath Venkatraman, Music Teacher, followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Dr. M. Jagadesh, Principal i/c, who highlighted the importance of Olympiads in nurturing analytical thinking, subject integration, and academic excellence among school students.
The Introductory Address was presented by Sri N. Rajesh Kumar, Assistant Professor in Biological Science, who briefed the gathering on the objectives, conduct, and wide participation of students in the Inter Vidyalaya Olympiads – 2026. He emphasized how such competitive academic initiatives motivate students to develop problem-solving skills and higher-order thinking.
The Special Address was delivered by Dr. MNG Mani, Former Principal, who inspired the students by stressing the role of discipline, perseverance, and conceptual clarity in achieving academic success. His address encouraged young learners to view Olympiads as a platform for intellectual growth rather than mere competition.
The programme reached its highlight with the Distribution of Prizes, wherein achievers of the Mathematics, Science, and Social Science Olympiads were honoured for their outstanding performance. The ceremony recognized merit and celebrated the efforts of both students and teachers.
The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. S. Swaminathan, Librarian, who expressed gratitude to the management, resource persons, participating schools, teachers, students, and organizing committee for the grand success of the programme.
The Award Ceremony stood as a meaningful academic event, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to promoting scholastic excellence and competitive spirit among school students through Inter Vidyalaya Olympiads.
